between a rock and a hard place.....

I dont get to climb outdoors very often but it's always exciting to get out on real rock when those rare opportunities arise. It's amazing how different and more sketchy it feels to be placing your own gear on a cliff above crashing waves compared to the fairly sterilised environment of a climbing wall. It's a slow, painstaking, check everything twice affair and yields far less actual climbing. It's sobering to think how much you need to trust your partner, Your life is actually completely in their hands! Lucky for me Mike has a safe pair!

This is over the back side of baggy. Fun routes that require a pretty sketchy scramble/ abseil in but well worth it. I always think it's better not to think too hard about how long the rusty stakes at the top everyone uses as anchors have been out there in the elements!!!
